Walter Baxter  "Junebug" Gerringer  Jr.
    GIBSONVILLE — Walter Baxter  "Junebug" Gerringer  Jr., 75, of 5558 N.C. 87 North, died in his sleep on September, 19, 2005, at his home after three years of failing health.
    A native of Caswell County, he was the son of the late Walter Baxter Gerringer  Sr. and the late Sadie Styers Gerringer . He was formerly employed with Burlington Industries at the Mayfair Plant and then later worked for Levin Brothers Inc. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean War. He attended Bethlehem Christian Church, and loved fishing, gardening, and racing.
    Mr. Gerringer  is survived by three daughters, Debbie Ann King of the home, Teresa Gerringer  Smith and her husband, Tim, of Elon, and Dawn Gerringer  of Gibsonville; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; a sister, Geynell Madren and her husband, Harold, of Gibsonville; brother-in-law, Archie Setzer; several special nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Polly Barker. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Blanche Setzer.
    The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dave Gilbert, and the Rev. Kevin Bunn. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Geynell Madren, 5666 N.C. 87 North, Gibsonville.
    Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church, 3625 Altamahaw Church St., Elon, N.C. 27244.
