Clyde L. Gerringer
WHITSETT — Clyde Leslie Gerringer , 75, of 6129 Ingold Road, died suddenly at his home Sunday, December 5, 2004. A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late David Leslie and Ruth Andrews Gerringer .
He was a farmer most of his life and worked at Container Corporation for over 19 years. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his sisters, Lillie Mae Lewis of Greensboro and Doris Walsh and husband, Homer, of Whitsett; nieces and nephews, Kathy Barrier, Calvin Gerringer , Jackie H. Kirkman, Terri G. Staley, Lorrie G. Hancock, Donna G. Cauthren, Jeff L. Hebein, and Melinda W. Mc-Dade; 16 great-nieces and nephews; five great-greatnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Otis J.C. Gerringer .
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Mt.Hope United Church of Christ cemetery by the Rev. Wayne Nelson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the home of Doris Walsh, 6146 Ingold Road. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, Memorial Cemetery Fund; 2400 Mt. Hope Church Road,. Whitsett, N.C. 27377.
