PROSPECT HILL — Qumiller Daniels Pruitt, 82, of 1893 Ridgeville Road, Prospect Hill, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at her son’s home in Harker’s Island.
Born in Caswell County, Mrs. Pruitt was the daughter of the late Walter Bristow and Rosa Josephine Hicks Daniels and the wife of the late Irvin Pruitt.
Mrs. Pruitt retired from farming, General Electric and the U.S. Postal Service.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at Cooper Cemetery by the Rev. Brian Biggers.
Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her son and daughterin-law, Ronnie and Karen-Strimple Pruitt, of Harker’s Island; two sisters, Margaret Walker of Cedar Grove and Lillian Geringer of Burlington; two grandchildren, Parker Marlin Pruitt and Grady Garrett Pruitt.
Memorials may be made to the Prospect Hill Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Helen Lunsford, 1378 Ridgeville Road, Prospect Hill, NC 27314.
