GRAHAM — Miss Carolyn Flo Grove, 75, of Graham died at the Hospice Home on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 6:47 a.m.
A native of Augusta County, VA, she was the daughter of Carl William Grove and Florence Yagel Grove, both deceased. She graduated from Rockingham Memorial Hospital with a degree in Registered Nursing. She worked for Alamance Memorial Hospital in Burlington and retired from Durham V.A. Medical Center after many years of service. Carolyn attended Concord United Methodist Church and was a lifelong member of Mt. Vernon Church of Brethren in Waynesboro, VA.
Survivors include a sister, Mae Andrews and husband Darryl of Greensboro; two brothers, Cleon J. Grove and C. Glenn Grove and wife Barbara, all of Waynesboro, VA; nephew, Robert
C. Andrews and wife Carol of Jamestown, NC; two nieces, Karen A. Comeford and husband James of Oak Ridge, NC and Arlene G. Parker and husband Chad of Fairfax Station, VA; greatnieces and great-nephews,Courtney C. Gantner and husband Zach, Austin Comeford, Derek Andrews, Ryan Andrews, Ben Parker and Ryan Parker; and special friend, Carson Rogers.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. David J. Allen with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mt. Vernon Church of Brethren Cemetery in Waynesboro, VA on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Concord United Methodist Church, 4462 East Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Graham, NC 27253.
