BURLINGTON — Alice Jeanette Oakley Talley , age 66, of 586 DC Oakley Road, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2006. She was a native of Caswell County, and the daughter of the late Dewey Clarence "DC" and Savannah Kimbro Oakley . Jeanette attended Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church, and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Criss and Frances Talley of Burlington; daughter, Pamela Talley Fogleman of Mebane; grandchildren, Tabitha Crumpton, Johnny Lee Crumpton and wife, Leslie, and Stephen Howard and wife, Amy; greatgrandchildren, Katlyn LeeAnn Wright and Nathaniel Lee Crumpton; sister, Mary Lillian Reagan of Burlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gladys Oakley , William and Norma Jean Oakley , Richard and Brenda Oakley and Leon and Sue Oakley , all of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; several greatnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Talley ; parents; and her brother, Sonny "F L" Oakley .
The funeral service will be held at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. by Minister Jerry Weldon. Burial will follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the home on DC Oakley Road.
