Mrs. Thelma Doris Wright Kimbro, 91, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:40 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late George Walter Kimbro and the daughter of Roy Wright and Amanda Toney Wright, both deceased. Mrs. Kimbro formerly worked at Sellars Department Store and retired as a teacher’s assistant. She was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Kimbro Herring and husband Billy of Haw River; two grandchildren, Mike Herring and wife Leslie of Burlington and Scott Herring and fiancé Jordan of Graham; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, for the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Kimbro. 3, Thelma Doris Wright Kimbro
