 BURLINGTON — Harold Lane Rudd, 65, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at ARMC surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 26 years to Cindy Hoskins Rudd who survives.
 
 Harold was employed over the years for Byrd’s Food Stores and later Lowe’s Foods. He enjoyed meeting people and had a great sense of humor. He spent many hours on Facebook keeping up with his family and friends since becoming disabled. Harold was an avid Duke fan and a loving and devoted husband, stepfather, father and brother.
 
 Survivors include his wife, Cindy H. Rudd of the home; stepdaughter, Crystal Pope of Burlington; stepgrandson, Cody Pope; brother, Lynwood Rudd and wife, Lib of Burlington; sister, Marie Riggs of Graham; sister-in-law, Sheri Hall and husband Mark; brotherin-law, Mark Simpson and wife, Clarissa of Burlington; brother-in-law, Robert Simpson of Burlington; nieces, Lisa and Jeff Hudson and Heather and Brent Dunn; nephew, David Riggs and wife, Wynenda of Mebane; special feline companions, “Miss Callie” and “Gracie.” He was preceded in death by his parents.  A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Brent Ector and Danny Smith. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Harold Thompson and Eric Rudd. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
