OBITUARIES Mrs. Christine Aldridge Beaver
MEBANE — Mrs. Christine Elizabeth Aldridge Beaver , loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother entered into eternal life, on Thursday evening, September 15, 2005. Departing a life filled with love and dedication to her family, friends and church, she is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Bernice and those who have gone before her. A resident of Mebane, Mrs. Beaver was a mentor and a role model in the lives of so many, always offering her support and encouragement. Though she will be greatly missed we must remember: Time is a friend that walks with us all of our lives, though her journey has ended, time will carry her for eternity in our hearts.
A native of Caswell County, Mrs. Beaver , age 77, of 512 North First St., died at 5 p.m. Sept. 15, 2005, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Bernice Wesley Beaver , and the daughter of the late William Maynard Aldridge and Mary Alice Oakley Aldridge . She was retired from Kingsdown Inc. in Mebane, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barbara B. Stokes of Mebane; a son, Richard Beaver and wife, Carolyn, of Mebane; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita A. Stanfield and Mrs. Clara Louise Porterfield, both of Prospect Hill; a brother, William Aldridge of Prospect Hill; two grandchildren, Mrs. Teena Mace and husband, Jerry, and Tracey Ashley; and one great-grandchild, Lindsi Christina Ashley.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Edgewood Baptist Church in Mebane by the Rev. Larry Cheek, the Rev. Perry Burns, and Elder Wallis Smith. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
