BURLINGTON – Annie Louise Terrell Simmons, 76, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 18, 2017.
She was born on November 20, 1941 in Caswell County to the late Johnnie Isaac Terrell and Pearl Davis Terrell and was married to the late Billy Houston Simmons who died in 1992.
Louise retired from WestPoint Stevens and was of the Baptist faith. She was very active at the Graham Senior Center and Relay for Life.
She is survived by her sons, William Keith Simmons and wife, Cathy and Jerry Lee Simmons; daughters, Sherri Ann Simmons and Eugenia S. Hazelwood and husband, Walter; grandchildren, Christopher Hazelwood, Nicholas Hazelwood, Chad Hazelwood, Rocky Hodge, Amber Hodge, Amy Hill, Nathan Simmons, Hannah Simmons, Bradley Barnette and Joseph Simmons; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Jeannette Short and husband, Jay.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Brodie, David, Luther Lee, Hassell, Harold, Tom and Clyde Terrell; sisters, Laura Edwards, Ruby Jenkins, Doris Parsons and Marlene Peters.
The celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the daughter, Eugenia Hazelwood’s home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Relay for Life, www.relayforlife.org/alamancenc.
