OBITUARIES Ruth Bowman Terrell
BURLINGTON — Ruth Bowman Terrell , 88, formerly of 105 Colonial Drive, died Saturday June 11, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following 3 weeks of critical illness.
A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Callie Clapp Bowman and was married to the late Archie Amos Terrell. She was a retired employee of Kayser-Roth Hosiery Company and a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Terrell (Dave) Salladay of Tobaccoville, N.C.; a son, Darrell D. (Gerrie) Terrell of Elon, N.C.; a grandchild, Jennifer (Clay) Foster; great –grandchildren Brittany and Cameron Foster; brothers Van Bowman of Burlington, N.C. and Donald (Avale) Bowman of Wallace, N.C.; and half brother Howard (Myrtle) Bowman of Kimesville, NC.
She was preceded in death by brothers Mutt Bowman, Jeff Bowman, Richard Bowman, and Vernon Bowman.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers and food, memorials may be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 108 Trail One, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
