OBITUARIES Eva Mae McKinney  Smith
    YANCEYVILLE — Mrs. Eva Mae McKinney  Smith, 96, of 315 Rudd Ridge Road, Yanceyville, died at her residence on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 10:40 p.m. after four months of declining health.
    A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late James McConnell Smith Sr., and the daughter of John Allen McKinney  and Minnie Alice Rudd McKinney  Terrell Wray, both deceased. She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church of Yanceyville.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eva Lynette Danner and husband, Ronnie, of Moore, S.C.; a son, Mr. James McConnell "Jimmy" Smith Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Yanceyville; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Murray of Burlington; three brothers, Mr. Raleigh Mc-Kinney, Mr. Malloy McKinney , and Mr. Hassel McKinney , all of Burlington; three grandchildren, Angela Pack, James Berrier, and Tracy Butler; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher Pack, Joshua Pack, Nickolas Pack and John Butler.
    Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Rudd; and two brothers, Virgil  Mc-Kinney and Luther McKinney .
    A funeral service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Yanceyville on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington today, July 1, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to the First Baptist Church of Yanceyville Building Fund, 378 Church St. West, Yanceyville, N.C. 27379.
