Hilda Hudgins McKinney
Mrs. Hilda Hudgins McKinney, 89, of 3974 Vinyard Way, Marietta, GA died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GA. 

A native of Henderson, NC, she was the wife of the late Luther Odell McKinney and the daughter of Fannie Smith Hudgins and Joseph Cephus Hudgins, both deceased. Hilda was a graduate of Henderson High School and attended Burlington Business College. She retired from Flowers Baking Company after forty years of service. Hilda was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church where she was a member of Circle Number 4. She was a member of Credit Women’s International where she served as President. She was also a member of the Lady Lions Club. She was an avid reader. 

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Hawkins and husband Dana of Marietta, GA; son, Keith McKinney and wife Joy of Myrtle Beach, SC; and five grandchildren, Zachary Hawkins, Kym Zeigler and husband Damon, Casey McKinney and wife Ashley, Shannon McKinney and Shelby McKinney. 

She was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Hudgins; and three sisters, Rhuena H. Moss, Elizabeth White, and Sarah Cox. 

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Jim Mitchell. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
