Mrs. Lucille Harris Evans 
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Lucille Harris Evans , 95, of Liberty Commons, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at Liberty Commons.
    A native of Chatham County, she was the wife of the late Burton Patrick Evans  and daughter of the late Thomas Sexton Harris  and Lucy Moore Snipes Harris .
    Mrs. Evans  was a retired teacher with the City of Burlington School System, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma of Greenville, N.C. and a member of the Red Oak Homemakers Club of Greenville.
    Surviving are nieces, Mrs. Linda (Don) Whitesell of Elon and Mrs. Jean Sumner of Burlington, Mrs. Sara (Rex) Hooper of Rougemont, Mrs. Ruth (Herbert) Ramsey of Longwood, Fla. and Mrs. Louise (T.W.) Kirkpatrick of Mebane; and nephews, Mr. Robert (Lucy) Atwater of Julian and Mr. Tommy (Linda) Harris  of Elon.
    Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Ruth Atwater and Mrs. Laura Hannon; brothers, Mr. Glenn Harris  and Mr. Robert Harris ; and a nephew, Mr. Lawrence Atwater.
    Services will be held Monday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington.
    Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Elon, 1630 Westbrook Ave., Elon, NC 27244.
