Sarah Dorothy B. “Dot” McKinney
BURLINGTON – Mrs. Sarah Dorothy B. “Dot” McKinney, 89, of 2402 Old Trail Road, Burlington died at her residence on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
A native of Orange County, she was the wife of 69 years to Hassel Lee McKinney, Sr., who survives and the daughter of Perry Bradley and Myrtle Ledbetter Bradley, both deceased.
Mrs. McKinney retired from Western Electric/ Lucent Technologies.
She loved her grandsons and gardening.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include her son, Lee McKinney, Jr. and wife Becky of Oak Ridge; two grandchildren, Brandon McKinney of Granger, IN and Corey McKinney of Charleston, SC; and one sister, Marjorie Harris of Mebane.
Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by two sisters, Elma Lee Freshwater and Mary Mixon and a brother, Wilber Bradley.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2p.m.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence.
Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is assisting the family.
