Betty Cheek Moore
GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Betty Cheek Moore, 83, of 201 Joyner St., Gibsonville, died at the Alamance Health Care Center on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 11:15 p.m.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Henry Carlton Moore and the daughter of Carl Cheek and Lillian Overman Cheek, both deceased. She was formerly employed with SCI of Graham and MCR of Mebane. Betty was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Ms. Carla Moore, of the home; two brothers-inlaw, Hoyt Moore and wife Doris of Yanceyville and Graham “Buck” Moore of Columbia, Md.; and a sister-in-law, Faye Cheek of Gibsonville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvis Cheek; and an infant brother, Vance Cheek.
A graveside service will be conducted at Gibsonville City Cemetery on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Carolyn Burrus, Hospice Chaplain.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
