Mamie Ellen Clayton Hinkle
   BURLINGTON — Mamie Ellen Clayton Hinkle, 86, a resident of Alamance Health Care, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

   A native of Caswell County, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham and retired from Graham Hosiery Mill.

   Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Hinkle Christopher and husband Jim of Burlington; son, Curtis Childress Hinkle Jr. and wife Sandra of Mebane; grandchildren, Jay Christopher, Breten Christopher, Jamie Hinkle and wife Angela and Tammy Hinkle Raines and husband Ben; great-grandchildren, Jacob Christopher, Kelton Christopher, Luke Raines, Ava Raines, Mallory Hinkle and Luci Hinkle; sisters, Lena Byrd and husband Richard of Yadkinville, N.C., Alma McKinney of Caswell County, Arlene Massey of Burlington, Catherine Hamlett and Shirley Wilkins, both of Caswell County.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Van and Lissie Rudd Clayton; husband, Curtis Childress Hinkle; brothers, Thomas, James and Wilbur Clayton; sisters, Doris Travis and Lizzie Truitt.

   The family will receive friends at Mc-Clure Funeral Home in Graham from 5 until 7 Saturday evening and at other times at the residence of Carolyn Christopher, 612 North Gurney Street, Burlington.

   The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Tim Robinson. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

   The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to their special friends, Evan Hester. In addition, they would like to offer a special thank you to Mary Rogers and the staff of Alamance Health Care and Davita Dialysis for their love and compassionate care shown toward Mrs. Hinkle.
