BURLINGTON — Nellie Tate Durham, 92, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at White Oak Manor. She was born July 23, 1923, in Caswell County to the late Robert Lee and Rosa Ann Terrell Tate and was married to the late C. Vernon Durham. She was a member of Union Ridge Church and retired from Durham Real Estate.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Florence Reagan, Esther Madren, Bessie Paschal, Alice Baker; brothers, Emmitt Tate, Fletcher Tate, Claude Tate and James Tate.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. James Rosser. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Union Ridge Church, 115 Altamahaw-Union Ridge Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
