Erma Dell Friddle Weaks
August 12, 1933 ~ July 26, 2020 (age 86)
Mrs. Erma Dell Friddle Weaks, age 86, of Gibsonville, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Liberty Commons of Alamance after several months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Lester Roy Friddle and the late Daisy Thomas Friddle and was married for over 54 years to the late Donald Edward Weaks, who passed in 2009.
She retired from Burlington Industries after 44 years of service and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Whitsett. Erma enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Erma will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Mrs. Weaks is survived by her daughter, Alesia Hughes (Barry Wyrick); two granddaughters, Brittany Hughes Strothmann (Kyle) and Christina Hughes (Zak Reynolds); great granddaughter, Kaylee Strothmann; a sister, Linda Friddle Jones (Richard); a brother, Harold Friddle (Faith); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a brother-in-law, C. A. “Snookie” Weaks, Jr. (Connie).
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister, Marlene Whitesell (Alton).
The family will be holding private services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Whitsett, 7006 Burlington Rd., Whitsett, NC 27377.
