Obituary Online notes for Russell William McINTYRE
Russell W. McIntyre, 86, of Palmer Township, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, in Abington Manor.

Born Jan. 30, 1932, in Easton, Russell was a son of the late Charles S. and Lillian (Kuhns) McIntyre. His wife, Joan A. (Mulford) McIntyre, died in 2012.

Russell served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked at Cooper Industries/Penn Pump for eight years and retired in 1992. Prior to that he worked at Harris Corporation/Sheridan Machine for 30 years.

He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and the Palmer Township Recreation Board. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1950, and was an active member of the Varsity E and the Varsity W Clubs.

Surviving are his children, Russell "Rusty" McIntyre Jr. and his wife, Sherri of Palmer Township; Ron McIntyre and his wife, Amy of Pen Argyl, and Cynthia McIntyre of Palmer Township; a brother, Clyde McIntyre; two sisters, Dolores "Dolly" Creager and Shirley Curto; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

His brothers, Charles "Bud" McIntyre, Howard McIntyre, Richard "Lindy" McIntyre and James McIntyre, and his sisters, Eleanor Snyder, Frances "Sis" Hofford, Kathleen Lazarus, and Carol McIntyre, died earlier.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 3900 Freemansburg Ave., Easton. A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
