Richard Walker Sr., 72, of Beaufort, passed away Friday Jan. 17, 2014, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Pineview Baptist Church of Goldsboro, N.C., with Dr. Dale Steele offi ciating.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Southard Walker of Beaufort; daughter, Michele Davis and husband, Johnnie of Otway; son, Darrell Walker and wife, Belinda of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Nicole and Carrie Walker, Elliott Grady, Sheldon Daughery; two greatgrandchildren, Jasmine and Brooke Ward; two sisters, Delaina Barwick and husband, Lester of Deep Run, N.C. and Shirley French of Burlington.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Bruce and Blanche Walker; sister, Betty F. Walker; brother-inlaw, Ralph French.
In lieu of fl owers donations may be sent to Hospice of Carteret County, PO Drawer 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557.
