Mr. Archie Edward McIntyre, 87, formerly of 2204 Maple St., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at the Masonic and Eastern Home.

A Masonic graveside service will be held for Mr. McIntyre at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in the Veteran's Circle of Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Archie Edward McIntyre was born in Alamance County on Oct. 4, 1912, to the late Butler and Henrietta Tickle McIntyre.
He was a well-known watch and clock repairman in the Greensboro area for many years and formerly worked for the Textile Jewelry Co. on State St. Mr. McIntyre was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, and a faithful member of Cone Post of the American Legion.

THe love of Mr. McIntyre's life was his involvement with the various Masonic bodies. He was very proud to be a 50 year member of Revolution Lodge 552, where he was to be honored this Friday for his long membership. Mr. McIntyre was also a member of the Scottish Rite and the Oasis Shrine.

A sister, Mattie McIntyre Parson of Greensboro and two brothers survive him, Joe McIntyre of Greensboro and Roy McIntyre of Baltimore, Md.
