BROWNS SUMMIT — Geraldine Busick Brown, 83, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was married to John G. “Bill” Brown for 67 years. She retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company with 40 years of service.
Geraldine was an avid baker and she loved to cook fantastic meals for her family and friends. Her Children and grandchildren were the delight of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time at her beach home in North Myrtle Beach, SC with her family.
She is survived by her husband, John G. “Bill” Brown; her children, Billie Jo Allen (Kenneth), Susan Church, Tina Chrismon, Barry Brown (Connie), Garry Brown (Janet) and Norman Shelton; brother, Danny Westbrook; and sisters, Karen Wyrick and Mary Grubbs; nine grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Granger and Opal Westbrook; and a grandson, Luther “Luke” John Brown.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church, 7345 NC 61, Gibsonville, NC 27249. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Apple’s Chapel Christian Church.
