BURLINGTON — Frank C. Jenkins , age 76, formerly of Burlington, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, in Trenton, Michigan. He was the husband of the late Ruby Terrell Jenkins and a retired employee of Ford Motor Company.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Frank Jenkins Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Michigan; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Short and her husband, Gary, of Kentucky, Cindy Shimizu and her husband, Vince, of Michigan; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Smith of Burlington and Eula McGhee of Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Tamlyn and Rosa Ann Wilson Jenkins ; and eight siblings.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Marvin Simpson and the burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the home of his sister, Viola Smith, 5241 N.C. 62 South, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
