BURLINGTON — Harold Ray Terrell, 64, of 521 Arden St., passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Orange County Speedway.
He was born in Alamance County to John and Pearl Terrell, both deceased. Harold loved racing and was a carburetor specialist.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Scott Terrell, of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Terrell Scott of Burlington and Tracy Terrell; a son, Steven Young and wife, Beverly, of Burlington; two grandsons, Brandon Scott and David Scott and wife, Blair; two great granddaughters, Hayley Scott and Taylor Scott; two brothers, Brodie Terrell and Clyde Terrell; two sisters, Louise Simmons and Jeanette Short.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bennie Smith. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service, and at other times at the home of Steven Young, 522 Arden St.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County, 711 Hermitage Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
