ELON — Clyde K. Terrell, 73, of Milesville Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Johnny Isaac and Pearl Davis Terrell and was married for 51 years to Vivian Mills Terrell who survives. Clyde worked for Terrell Body Works and attended Spirit and Truth Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, Darin (Donna) Terrell of Haw River and Shannon (Teresa) Terrell of Burlington; grandchildren, Stephanie Simpson, Brandon (Courtney)Terrell, GarrettTerrell, Grecia Terrell; sisters, Jeanette (Jay) Short of Michigan, Louise Simmons of Burlington; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Jazzy. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and six brothers.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Michael Petty with interment to follow in Spirit and Truth Baptist Church cemetery.
