Will notes for Christian SHARP
Will Written 24 Dec 1858. Probated 1861

I Christian Sharp of the County of Alamance & State of North Carolina beng of Sound Mind & Memory do make & declare this my last Will and testament in manner & form followy,
First - that my Executor (herin after named) shall provide for my boddy a decent burial and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts to whomsoever owing out of the first money that may come into his hands as a first of my estate
Item - I give 7 bequeath to my eldest Son Ludwick Sharp the Track of Land wereon he formerly lived & now is his posession containing about one Hundred & Twenty two acres adjoining the Land of Eli Sharp, E M Holt & My old homestead to him & his heirs in fee simple forever
Item - I give and desise to my son Joel Sharp the old homestead tract of Land whereon he now lives containing about One Hundred & eighteen acres adjoining E M Holt Daniel Graves & Ludwick tract to him & his heirs in fee simple forever.
Item - I have advanced abot seven hundred & fifty Dollars to my Grand Son Alfred Sharp which I considerabout equal to the cost of Ludwick & Joels Land
Item - It is my wish that should any dispute arise in regard to the boundy lines of the Lands above willed to my Sons Ludwick and Joel & either Should loose any part as now held by them by the claim of any other person then in that case the other two shall bear and equal Share of the loss and shall pay each in to the other one So looseing
Item - It is My Will and desire that all the balance of my estate of Whitever Kind be equally divided between My Sons Ludwick & Joel and my Grand Son Alfred Sharp, Share & Share alike
Lastly - I do hereby constitute and appoint My Sons Ludwidk Sharp & Joel Sharp and My
Grand Son Alfred Sharp My Lawful executors to execute this my last Will & testament & every part thereof revokeing & declaring utterly Void all other wills by Me heretofore made - In writing whereof I Christian Sharp do hereunto Set My hand & Seal this 24th day of December AD 1857
