Charles M Mauney, 83, of 909 Gervais St, died in a local hospital Saturday.
He was born in Gastonia, NC, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Mose L Mauney and had lived in Columbia for the past 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Eva Cliff Mauney; a daughter, Mrs Hallene Mauney Alexander of Gastonia, NC, a son Frank Mauney of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Miss Jeannette Mauney of Gastonia, NC, and two stepdaughters, Mrs Harvey W Leaphart of West Columbia and Mrs C J Clark of Lexington.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday from the Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by Rev L F Steele. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
