GRAHAM — Mrs. Katherine Boswell, 98, formerly of Graham, died at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfi elds on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at 2:10 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Archie Kennon Boswell and the daughter of Thomas Atlas Jones and Mary Ethel Thompson Jones, both deceased. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham where she was Sunday school superintendent, Girls’ Auxiliary Leader, Girl Scout Leader and Women’s Missionary Union Group Leader. She also served in the Nursery and Junior Departments and on the Nominating, History and Homecoming Committees. Katherine loved her fl owers especially roses and loved growing tomatoes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Boswell Webster and husband Freo of Greensboro and three grandchildren, Charlie Webster, John Webster and Corinna
Webster, all of Greensboro.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ruth Jones and two brothers,
Sam Jones and Bobby Jones.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Jim Wall with the family receiving friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Graham, 224 North Main St., Graham, NC 27253.
