Ruby Dix King, 94, of Graham passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
A native of Caswell County, the wife of the late Walter Jones “Bud” King and the daughter of Linwood Dix and Nannie Bell Jefferson Dix, both deceased.
She retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery after 42 years of service. She was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda K. Oakley and husband Buck of Burlington and Teresa D. Kernodle and husband Larry of Graham; four grandchildren, Mandy Bundren (Mike), Richie Oakley (Amy), Karissa Kimrey (Taylor), and Lisa Knighten (Dylan); four great grandchildren, Jamie, Cassie, Zoey, and Jordan; two great great grandchildren, Skylyn and Ella; and brother, Earl Dix and wife Judy.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Michael Oakley; four sisters, Kathleen, Annie, Pearl, and Onie; and four brothers, James, Floyd, Junior and Dee.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Ken Smith with the family receiving friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Teresa at other times.
