ELON — Mrs. Lillian Davis Gerringer , 77, of 2115 Gerringer Mill Road, died at 2:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 at her residence.
A native of Rutherford County, North Carolina, she was the wife of the late Council Lee Gerringer and the daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Lettie Pritchard Davis . She was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Richard L. Gerringer and his wife, Virginia S. Gerringer of Elon; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Davis Tyson of Stone Mountain, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Gerringer and Charles Walter Gerringer ; a sister, Lucy Nanny Simmons; and two brothers, Charlie Leroy Davis and Willie B. Davis .
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel by the Rev. Jeffrey D. McCann. Burial will be in Shallowford United Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8, at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington. Other times the family will be at the residence of the son, Richard, at 2113 Gerringer Mill Road, Elon, N.C. 27244.
