Billy King
Billy King, age 83, of Burlington, passed away on February 28, 2021 after a brief illness.
Billy was born on May 19, 1937 in Caswell County, NC, to the late James William King and Minnie Lloyd Oakley King.
Billy is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Lib) Hearn King whom he loved and was devoted to for 49 years; his sister, Mamie Sue Harris and husband Wilbert of Mebane, NC, many loving nieces and nephews and special neighbors and caregivers, Vickie Edwards and Gail Riley.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dollie May Garrison King, Kathleen King Powell and brothers, James Henry King, Arthur Wilson King, Alvis Franklin King, Leonard Lloyd King, Brodie Banks King, Walter Jones King and Joseph Daniel King.
Billy retired after working many years as a truck driver for Burlington Industries. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River, NC.
A graveside service will
be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Alamance Memorial Park on Hwy 70. The service will be conducted by Pastor Jonathan Jenkins of First Baptist Church of Haw River.
Family and friends are welcome to view and pay their respect to Mr. King on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the funeral home in Graham.
