Emma Edith Dennis
BURLINGTON — Miss Emma Edith Dennis , 89, of 100 Wade Coble Drive, Burlington, and formerly of Gibsonville, died at Twin Lakes Retirement Center on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 3:35 a.m.
A native of Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late John Bennett Dennis and Donnie Holland Dennis . She was formerly employed with Engineered Plastics. She was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church, and a former Sunday school teacher and choir member.
Survivors include one sister, Aldine Jobe of Graham; one brother, Bill Dennis of Caswell Beach; several nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dennis ; and two sisters, Maize Randolph and Jennie Scott.
A graveside service will be conducted at Gibsonville City Cemetery on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. David Green. The body will remain at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until time to be taken to the cemetery for the service.
The family will receive friends at the residence of the sister, Aldine Jobe, 613 Johnson Avenue, Graham, N.C. following the graveside service.
