GRAHAM — Mrs. Aldine Dennis Jobe, 89, died just two weeks short of her 90th birthday at her residence on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 6:32 a.m.
A native of Randolph County, she was the wife of the late James Edwin Jobe Jr. and the daughter of John Bennett Dennis and Donnie Hollard Dennis, both deceased. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham. She retired after 30 years from Burlington Industries in the executive offices.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Sarah Ann Thornton of Rawlins,Wyo.; two stepgrandchildren; a brother, John William Dennis and wife Dolly of Caswell Beach; a nephew, Keith Dennis and wife Faye; three nieces, Cheryl Melton and husband Jim, Amy Stanley and husband Scott and Lisa Bowes and husband David; and special friends, Della Nickerson, Lillian Trollinger and Kellsie Williams.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dennis and three sisters, Edith Dennis, Maize Randolph and Jennie Scott.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. by Dr. Kenneth Hall.
The family will receive friends at the residence following the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 North Main Street, Graham, N.C. 27253 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
