BURLINGTON — Miss Gloria Grey Sharpe, 79, of 4412 Alamance Baptist Church Loop, Burlington, died at her residence on Monday, July 21, 2008.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Johnnie Brackett Sharpe and Bessie Ellen May Sharpe, both deceased. She retired from Kayser-Roth.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Mary Shoffner of Burlington; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Miss Betty Lou Sharpe, Mrs. Emma Wellons, Miss Blondie Sharpe and Mrs. Margie Lowe; and two brothers, Mr. Johnny Sharpe and Mr. Haskell Sharpe.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Mike Shannon with the family receiving friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
