OBITUARY:

SUPPLY - Mr. Lewis Page Edwards, 65, of 563 Marylou Lane S.W., died at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at his residence after several years of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Raven M. Edwards and Ruby Allred Edwards, both deceased.

He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections in Wilmington and was a member of the Ocean Drive Shag Club.

Survivors include a son, Mr. Terry G. Edwards of Apex;
a daughter, Mrs. Wendula Paige Edwards-Hildreth of Hillsborough;
a grandson, Mr. Connor David Hildreth;
six sisters, Mrs. Doris Roginski of Lynchburg, Va., and Mrs. Louise Barry, Mrs. Elaine Ferrell and Mrs. Barbara Gillispie, all of Holden Beach, Mrs. Brenda Stewart and Mrs. Bonnie King, both of Burlington; and
two brothers, Mr. Jack Edwards of Alamance and Mr. Marshall R. Edwards of Mebane.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Pine Hill Cemetery by the Rev. George M. "Jack" Phillips, of Zion Christian Church.

The family will receive friends at the residence of a sister, Brenda Stewart, 2233 Jeffries Cross Road, Burlington, after the service.
