Vanner E. Graves


BURLINGTON – Mr. Vanner E. Graves, 100, of Burlington died at the Coble Creek Healthcare Center at Twin Lakes on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:50 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Virgil William Graves and the daughter of Junious Lee Euliss and Sally Garrett Euliss, both deceased.

Mrs. Graves retired from Kayser Roth with 50 years of service and was a lifetime member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Lee Graves and Kenneth M. Graves and wife Sara, all of Burlington; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Gabriel and husband Charles, Jason Graves and Jennifer Gregg and husband Charlie; and four great-grandchildren,
Joshua Turnage, Chloe Turnage, Lilly Gregg and Liam Gregg.

Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Graves and six brothers and sisters, Georgie Coble, Sadie Henderson, Russell Euliss, Daymon Euliss, Virgie Rierson and Melvin Euliss.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Alvin M. Horne with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Other times they will be at the residence of her son, Kenneth Graves, 2133 West Front Street, Burlington, NC.

Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 4702 Friendship Patterson Mill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Coble Creek Healthcare Center at Twin Lakes Community for their kindness and care given to Mrs. Graves.
