Walter Clegg Henderson
   PITTSBORO —Walter Clegg Henderson died October 24, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

   He was retired from Associated Transportation.

   Survivors include daughters, Vickie Webster and husband Bill, Bonnie Felts and husband Rodney, Teresa Smith and husband Norman; son, Gary Henderson; stepson, Jerry Willis Coble and wife Linda; sister, Lois Lane; 10 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and 12 greatgreat-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Cleveland Henderson and Olivia “Lula” Clegg Henderson; stepparents, Beatrice Lassiter and Bernice Lassiter; brothers, Harry, Grady, Leon and Kaih Henderson; and sisters, Cornella Kiser, Minnie Belle Sirls, and Mary Henderson.

   The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham.

   A service of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Browns Chapel Church in Pittsboro, N.C. at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

   Donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
