BURLINGTON — Mrs. Kathleen C. Patterson, 96, of Burlington, passed away at 6:00 AM, Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Coble Healthcare Center of Twin Lakes.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Walter McAdoo Patterson and daughter of the late Shelly Graham Coble and Mattie Thompson Coble. Mrs. Patterson was a retired bookkeeper, a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and a longtime participant in water aerobics at the YMCA. As well, she was an outstanding and loving grandmother.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Patterson of Burlington and Michael Patterson and wife Donna of Boiling Springs, SC; granddaughter, Michala Sterling Patterson; three sisters, Helen Beyers of Graham, Agnes White and Cornelia Stanton all of Graham.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Robertson; and two brothers, Cecil Coble and Ross Coble.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Henry Swanzey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 4612 Friendship-Patterson Mill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
