GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Miss Betty Joyce Isley, 68, of 5810 Park Creste Drive, Glen Allen, Va., died at her residence on Monday, April 30, 2012.
A native of Alamance County, N.C., she was the daughter of John Talmadge Isley and Nina Rebecca Sharpe Isley, both deceased. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Betty was general manager of Hampton Inn West in Richmond, Va.
Survivors include three brothers, Larry M. Isley and wife Faye of Snow Camp, Ronald C. Isley and wife Susan of Burlington and Joe M. Isley and wife Melba of Snow Camp; six nephews, Johnny and Mark Isley, Matt, Michael and Mark McKendree and Randal Chou; and one niece, Rebecca Isley.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky D. Isley.
The funeral service will be conducted at Friendship United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Henry Swanzey with the family receiving friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service to lie in state.
Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4612 Friendship-Patterson Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
