Hilda Lee Love Isley
Mrs. Hilda Lee Love Isley, 83, of 3274 Isley Drive, Snow Camp, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at the Hospice Home in Burlington after several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Isley was the wife of Worth Isley and the daughter of the late Paul E. Love and the late Margaret (Lee) Beasley Love.
Mrs. Isley worked with the Hillcrest Paper Tube Company with her father, Paul
E. Love, before retiring from the Burlington City School System after 22 years of service as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Isley was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Young Adults Sunday School Class and a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a member and Past-President of the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her husband, Worth, of the home, Mrs. Isley is survived by two sons, Samuel Lee Isley and his wife, Kathy, and Charles Daniel Isley and his wife, Sylvia, all of Snow Camp; five grandchildren, Jason Isley and his wife, Jamie, of Guilford County, Kevin Isley and his wife, Nichole, of Houston, Texas, Samuel Lee Isley Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Gastonia, Amber Isley Clemmer and her husband, Russell, of Snow Camp and Julie Isley O’Keefe and her husband, Jason, of St. Louis, Missouri; six great-grandchildren and a brother-inlaw, Linwood Godwin, of Elon.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Love and two sisters, Wanda Love Newsome and Shirley Love Godwin.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 19, at 2:30 p.m. in Friendship United Methodist Church. Offi ciating will be the Rev. Henry Swanzey and the Rev. Alvin Horne. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, at the church, from 1:30 until 2:30 prior to the service.
