BURLINGTON — Mr. Willie Bascom Brewer , 84, of 2204 Sweetbay Circle, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, December 22, 2006, at the Hospice Home. Mr. Brewer was born December 21, 1922 in Chatham County, to the late Willie Allison and Caroline Clapp Brewer . He was the husband of the late Betty Wall Brewer , who preceded him in 2004. He retired from Baker-Cammack Hosiery Mills after many years of service and was a veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of Nall Memorial Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school, was a former deacon, and church treasurer.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Michael "Mike" Brewer of the home; two nieces, Judy Murray and Sue Keener; and one nephew, Pete Brewer .
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2006, at Nall Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Wade Cox. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, December 23, 2006, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the residence.
