June "Bugs" Pittman, 79, of Burlington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Monday, October 9, 2023.
A native of Graham, NC, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Clapp, Sr. and Mary Norine Sharpe Clapp, both deceased. She was a former field accountant in the long-term care industry.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Howard Bell and wife Diana of Four Oaks, NC and William Rodney Bell of Southern Pines, NC; two grandchildren, Ashley DeGenova and husband Adam and Allison Bell; four great grandchildren, Jaxon Scott, Isabella DeGenova, Rory DeGenova, and Luca DeGenova; brother, Bob Clapp; and sister, Polly Parker. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Page.
Her family was her life. She adored being Mom to her boys, Grandma to her girls, and Maw Maw to her babies. She was fiercely independent and had the most giving heart. Her love and light will live on through those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
