Franklin "Frank" Edgar Robinson Obituary

Franklin Edgar Robinson, “Frank” entered Heaven to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Hospice Home, Burlington, N.C. surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

A native of Alamance County he was the husband for 63 years of Alma Crawford Robinson who survives and the son of the late Edgar M. and Lucille C. Robinson.

In addition to his wife of the home he is survived by two daughters, Ginger R. Ray (Mike) and Amy R. Thompson (Scott) all of Graham, NC, four grandchildren, Kristi R. Hicks (John) of Staley, NC, Katie R. Morgan (Kyle) of Graham, NC and Matthew S. Thompson and William L. Thompson both of Graham, NC, One precious great-grandson, Eli and baby Luke due in September and many nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are sisters, Darlene R. Teague (Bill) of Siler City and Teresa R. Boggs of Burlington, brother, Terry Robinson (Libby), brothers-in-law, Stanley Greeson, Ken Boggs of Burlington and sister-in-law, Janet C. Hunter (Tom) Blackstone, VA, one sister deceased, Judy R. Greeson
He worked 37 years in the textile industry and was a life-long, faithful member of Friendship Church, proud that his second-great-grandfather donated the land for the present-day church. He participated in church league softball coaching men’s and women’s church teams with the women’s team winning a state championship and playing in the nationals more than one year.

A man who loved his family, adored his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchild. He made them his special pancakes, chocolate chess pies, chicken nuggets and more. He shared stories from his youth with them, some factual and some embellished. He would proudly tell everyone about them, their activities, talents and what good kids they are. Playing Rook with them was a favorite pastime but he was competitive and wanted serious play, no chit-chat and would give you a look if you got too chatty.
The family will forever be thankful for the gift of calling him husband, Dad, Pops and brother and for our time spent with him. He was a good man, a Christian, a man of his word, a man of true grit.

The family is thankful for the Hospice nurses who were by his side, who helped us navigate his last days and for the family and friends who stood by in support. You are truly loved.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Friendship Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 10:00am to 11:00am in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Instead of flowers the family request donations be made to Friendship Church, 4612 Friendship-Patterson Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 and to The Hospice Home in Burlington, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 261, Franklin "Frank" Edgar Robinson
