BURLINGTON, N.C. — Mrs. Jerline Freeman Wilson, 69, of 323 Baldwin Road, Burlington, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, Jerline was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Gail Ellington Smith, of North Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Christopher Smith and Ashley Matthews (Chris); greatgrandson, Braydon L. Smith; stepgrandchildren, Sherry Cheek and Donnell Law; seven great-stepgrandchildren; brothers, Bobby L. Freeman (Shirley) of Whitsett, N.C. and Charles V. Freeman (Mary Jane) of Burlington; and sister, Betty Ham (Danny) of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Loyd Wilson; parents, Leonard Samuel Freeman and Ruth Nash Freeman; stepdaughter, Sandra Wilson; and brothers, Sam, Jimmy and Eddie Freeman.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Thursday evening. At other times they will be at the home of Bill Ellington, 1306 Cleveland Avenue, Burlington, N.C.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Ernest Beck and Mr. Danny Ham. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Courageous Kidz, 230 Old Dominion Drive, Charleston, S.C. 29418.
