Virginia Blanche Fogleman Norwood Gentry
WHITSETT — Virginia Blanche Fogleman Norwood Gentry , 77, of 578 Pimlico Circle, died suddenly at Cone Hospital, Wednesday, October 26, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Clinton Dennis and Minnie Esther Moser Fogleman.
A native of Guilford County and graduate of Nathaniel Greene High School, she was retired from the Guilford County Prison Farm and worked for Chick-Fil-A. She was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, Circle #3 of the church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #2972 in Gibsonville, and a member of the BPW in Gibsonville.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Norwood; son, Tommy Norwood and his wife, Sharon; grandson, Ty Norwood; sisters, Juanita Wicker, Gladys Turner, Becky Rumley, Mildred Risley, and Kay Foster; brothers, Frank Fogleman and Dewey Fogleman; aunt, Mable Barner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Nease Norwood; brothers, Jimmy Fogleman and C.D. Fogleman Jr.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Gibsonville United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Greene, and the Rev. Laura Greene. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.
