Obituary Online notes for Julian Fife MEADOR
SOUTHERN PINES Mr. Julian Fife Meador, 76, resident of Southern Pines, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
A memorial service for Mr. Meador will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Covenant Church, with the Rev. Marc Putnam officiating. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday.
Mr. Meador was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Rockingham County, a son of William Fife and Cora Maie Beck Meador. He had been a longtime resident of Greensboro before moving to Southern Pines eight years ago. Prior to his retirement on Dec. 31, 1991, Mr. Meador was employed by Dover Elevator Co. in Greensboro and was a member of the Trinity Covenant Church. In Greensboro on Aug. 19, 1950, he married the former Annie Marie Barber. In addition to his parents, Mr. Meador was also preceded in death by a brother, Francis X. Meador and a sister, Eveline Meador Thomas.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the residence are two sons, Stephen Fife Meador of Southern Pines and David Fjield Meador and wife, Jennifer, of Cameron; three grandchildren, Faith, Luke and Ethan Meador; two sisters, Irene Meador Sears of Raleigh and Dorothy Meador Conrad of Greensboro.
