Randolph Hughes Wigington
BURLINGTON — Randolph Hughes Wigington, 82, of 111 Maple Avenue, Apt 510, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a retired farmer and textile employee.
Survivors include sisters, Hazel and Lacy Overman of Asheboro, Marie and Bobby Carden of Burlington, and Linda and Jerry Oakley of Burlington; sisters-in-law, Sherry Wiggington and Mary Jane Wigington; brothers-in-law, Charlie Cantrell and the Rev. Bill Skenes; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and greatgreat-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Randolph Jefferson and Rosa Shough Wigington; wife, Mildred Johnson Wigington; brothers, William Ray Wigington and Leonard Mason Wiggington; sisters, Annie Katherine Wigington, Eva Louise Dickens Lindley,Vera Cox Penn, Era Jane“Brownie” Cantrell,Virginia Turner Hefner and Nancy Walker “Cowboy” Skenes.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Tommy Marley. Burial will be in McLeansville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 Sunday night and other times at the residence of Marie Carden, 2456 Deep Creek Church Road, Burlington.
