WHITSETT– Mrs. Juanita Fogleman Wicker, 93, of Whitsett, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at her residence following declining health.
A native of Guilford County, she was the loving wife of 63 years to the late John Ben Wicker and daughter of Clinton Dennis Fogleman and Minnie Ester Moser Fogleman, both deceased. She was a hairdresser and owner of Juanita’s Beauty Shop.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Newport News for 44 years and after moving back to live with her niece, Kim Norwood, became a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star #215 Warwick Lodge, VFW Auxiliary Post #2972 in Gibsonville, and member of the United Methodist Women. She was kind and loving to everyone she met. She never met a stranger and enjoyed being a greeter at her church in Virginia. Juanita loved to spend time with her family, helping people, working at her church, going to the beach, and traveling.
Surviving is a sister, Becky Rumley of Gibsonville; a brother, Frank Fogleman (Donna) of Henderson; and sister-inlaw, Ursula Wicker of Columbia, SC. She was a devoted aunt and friend to many special nieces and nephews, Kim Norwood and her beloved pet Toby of the home, Tommy and Sharon Norwood of Whitsett, Kathy Lewis of Gibsonville, Freddie and Dolores Wicker of Knoxville, TN and several Godchildren and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, C. D. Fogleman, Blanche Norwood, Dewey Fogleman, Gladys Turner, Mildred Risley, Jimmy Fogleman, and Kay Foster.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, at Gibsonville United Methodist Church with Rev. Sybil Parks officiating. Other times the family will be at the residence.
The family would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro and a special thanks to Lynne Webb for all the wonderful care and love given to Juanita the last year, “Love You More”.
