CONCORD -- Mr. Carroll Wayne Ruff, 56, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at the Concord Nursing Center.
Born July 16, 1941, in Bryson City, he was the son of Mr. Harrison Ruff and
Mrs. Mamie Lou Ellen Ruff, both deceased. He was a retired self-employed truck
driver for Fred Grove Company in Leland.
Survivors include five daughters, Ms. Carol Ann Hill of Winston-Salem, Ms.
Terry Lynn Ruff and Ms. Virginia Faye Ruff, both of Graham, Ms. Elizabeth Kay
Parrish of Haw River and Ms. Cynthia Lynn Ruff of Faith; a son, Mr. Wayne
Jackson Ruff of Rockwell; two brothers, Mr. Lonnie Ruff of Mebane and Mr.
Homer Ruff of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Ms. Hilda Somers and Ms. Irene
Hardin, both of Burlington; and Ms. Magdalene Gallagher of Fredricton, Canada;
and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at Whitley's Funeral Home in
Kannapolis. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park.
