Mrs. Lynett Pritchett Apple
BROWNS SUMMIT — Mrs. Lynett Pritchett Apple, age 88, of Haw Road, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A native of Rockingham County, she was the wife of the late Clarence A. Apple who died in 1981 and daughter of the late Arthur and Mamie Lambeth Pritchett. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna Gray Warren of Browns Summit and son, Bill Apple and wife Nancy of Reidsville; granddaughter, Sharon Byrd and husband Garland of Browns Summit; and great-grandsons, Jeremy and Justin Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Bob Apple.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. C. Allen Myers III. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Apple will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9.
Memorials may be made to Apple’s Chapel Christian Church, 7345 Hwy. 61 North, Gibsonville, N.C. 27249 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. 281, Wentworth, N.C. 27375.
